How to cut through an Object ?

Hi

I’m trying to cut through a Cube with the Knife Tool.
But the Knife Tool always only cuts the Faces of the Cube but I want to cut through the hole Cube.

I know I could use a Boolean Modifiert for that.
But is there any other way to cut through the hole Object by defining only one cutting-line ?

When you use the knife tool, look on the 3d view header for additional options.
Z lets you toggle on/off Cut Through

I did try that, but I hited Z after I seted the cut, and then it didn’t work and was thinking it wont work at all :wink:

K Z then knife through an object

Hi,

Make sure you start the cut ABOVE the mesh itself. If you are starting the cut on the mesh it won’t work. Also, make sure you put the end of the cut past the mesh.

Don’t forget the Z.
