I’m dealing with a problem I don’t know how to solve.
Basically, I have this sweater and I tried to apply a wool texture, but as you can see, the “lines” of the texture are going up and down on all parts of the object without taking into account the position of the arm, which is not how it works in real life. The sleeves should have a different pattern.
How can I apply the texture to have a result that reproduces at least a bit what we would see in real life?

Did you unwrap the sweater? If so the sleeves should be separated, with seam, at the shoulders (just like real sweater). When the material is applied and aligned per UV island the pattern will flow realistically - like you want.
If you unfamiliar with UVs there are many tutorials out there to help.

I thought about that and tried it but it didn’t work. I probably unwrapped it poorly, I will try it again, thanks.
It will work with proper unwrap.
