Constraints:
-Must be done in Blender 2.63a
-No Retopoing
Is there an easy way how to decimate a hi-poly mesh while retaining the UV mapping?
Constraints:
-Must be done in Blender 2.63a
-No Retopoing
Save blend file
Open blend file in 2.66a or 2.67RC1
Decimate modifier
Save blend file
Open blend file in 2.63
In blender 2.63 the decimate modifier destroys UVs
In blender 2.63 deleting edge loops damages UVs
This is not the case in the versions mentioned above.
If you want to use 2.63 ONLY, Limited Dissolve option will get you someway there
