How to delete loop cuts?

Im looking for the opposite action to loop cut. Deleting edges without deleting the adjacent faces but joining them instead.

What you are looking for is the ‘dissolve edge’ command (select the loop and then ctrl+e). Don’t also forget to tick ‘disolve vertices’ in a pop-up box.

select, X -> edge loops

there is also the ‘delete edge loop’ function. Select the edge loop, press Space, and you’ll find the function in the box (writing part of the function will narrow the list).
