how to duplicate rig spring ?

I got this spring rig with curve and hook

but I cannot copy the 2 to make a duplicate

so how can this be done ?

Upload the .blend and I can fix your problem.

I think the sample file was not the one I was talking about
it does not use any curve !

the given example is done with arrays and hook
but might be too difficult to copy and use to do an engine
and may be later on do some small anim

here is the file with curve and armature

that one should be much easier to work
but difficult to copy cause of hook I guess
