How to edit the backside of a projection mapped model

Hello, i projected a texture onto a model of a person, its a model im going to use from very far away. And i want to get the back side of them to not be the repeated front texture. So i went to the texture edit but when i edit the texture on the back but the edit happens on the front.

It sounds like your UV mapping is mirrored so that the mapping is the same on the back and the front.
Try selecting just the front half of the person- switch to a side orthographic view, switch to Wireframe mode, press B and draw a box over all the back half faces, switch back to front, press A to select all, U, Project from View.

Now for the back- deselect all with Alt A. press Alt H to reveal the back, those back faces will be selected. Switch to back view, Project from View.

Switch to UV Editor, press A to select all, go to the UV menu, and choose Pack Islands. That should fix it

Hellooo, i did it.

Is there any way to have the projection not be mirrored on both sides just from the beginning? Or to make the whole process easier, because if have a bunch of models just like that i have to make.
