How to get an even face unwrap?

Hi all.

Wondering if anyone here has ideas on how to achieve a better / even face unwrap that focuses on the main parts of import by keeping higher texel density then for the scalp/neck portion.

Obviously, if you just mark the seam at the back of the head on a bust and unwrap, the result is completely even. This results in very poor to just plain awful texture space usage.

I’m sure there is a better way thay I’m just not aware of to do the same thing. Any input appreciated.
