How to get back the top horizontal panel?

I must have had the cursor over that panel while I pressed some button/s. Anyhow, now I no longer have the things I used to have there. One of them used to show me how many vertices/objs/polys/etc were selected, for instance.

OK, so it looks like you just scrolled the panel up a bit, so now you’re looking at a text thing that this panel also has. Try to pull down that top bar a bit to see if you can find the top menu bar.
