Hey! I have a background in filmmaking as a film editor but am fairly new to CGI and 3D but want to improve my 3D lighting skills what can I do to get better at my lighting and composition?
I learned a lot from this video.
Also, experimenting is great too. If you have had experience in film industry lighting, you will find that the principle for CGI lighting isn’t all that different, just using different equipment.
I allways suggest the following books:
Color and Light: A Guide for the Realist Painter by James Gurney
The Complete Photographer" by Andreas Feininger
