How to get curvature with more smooth gradient?

Left : Substance Right : Blender

Hi is there other way to make curvature in Blender have more smooth gradient on edge more like substance.

This is what im using right now.
Ive tried Bevel node and pointiness too.
for pointiness the value is too close together that not only the edge is highlighted, If I make it so it only highlight edge, the width became to small. and it dont have ways to control the width.

for Bevel its too noisy for realtime not baked. also it has different value at the center of the edge. you can see the black line in ther middle of the edge.

Thank you

so there is no other way in vanilla blendeer?

hell nah bro, goo engine is a “whole” different blender build no dedicated for realistic-ish rendering :joy:, i mean like why would i use another blender render engine to just to get this “simple” feature in cycles… well it should be simple to do with some trial and error…

True, but vector-sharp curvature like OP wants(?) isn’t realistic

for real life objects sure , no worn edges are perfectly round and work like that unless on purpose :joy: but is kinda forgiving for most CG case scenarios.

Can I ask what do you mean by vector sharp curvature?, maybe it will give some hint for me

heck if i only could remember the exact tutorial name for this :joy::sweat_smile:…well i will do some research for ya…

Thank you but I’m sorry its the same bevel method that I mention on the post. so I already try it.

I use a slightly different approach to curvature, than most of those videos…and it is finicky due to the Pointiness setting…But by using the Ramp, and the color of the edge, I can get something that works for me. These settings are tightened up rather than spread…but it doesn’t hurt to play around with it…

The shader…

and if you want the AO-Mask Node…
