How to get my particle system to place particles smoothly -- or how do I get my grass to grow evenly

HI Folks: – IM working on doing an an ArchViz project, and have installed the particle grass. It needs some work on colors yet, but the far bigger problem is that the grass comes in really patchy. I know its a fairly wild setting, but in this case, I want a fairly well mancured yard. Not a putting green, but at least like a decent suburban yard. I also know its a low quality render – its just a qucikie to check out how things are working
