When I place a building (sphere) in my particle city I want the particles to move away from it. What is the best way to do this. I am using a "force: but clearly this is not working as there are small cubes still visible around the sphere. I’ve played around with the settings and I can’t find a setting to remove the small particles around the sphere. The “force” is also creating a wave so the cubes are small then large then small. I want only the cubes around the sphere to disappear and not become smaller. Is there a better way to do this?

Also, how do I get my particles to not overlap each other. If they are buildings they shouldn’t overlap.
Hi, you need physics to do the pushing thing, and particles in blender don’t have physics yet.
You could give Aligorith’s build a go, where it is posible to affect rigid bodies with force fields.
I did some tests last week, see them in this thread…
