How to get that plastic, blocky, toy look in bge?

recently i’ve had an interest in starting a toy project. How would you get that plastic toy look in bge render? sure you can render a scene in blender to look like a toy but what about in bge? also modeling a lego/mega blocks-like model, would i just model a blocky, version of a normal model with fewer poygons? but i don’t want all the models to have a block lego look. i want some to look quite detailed but with a shiny plastic texture.

any links or feedback would be very appreciated.

thanks
anthony

Hello
Shiny/plastic ( more or less) is quite easy to achieve!
You add a material to your object, use the Material color or add a “UV Texture” to it and then set the “Spec” and “Hard” parameters in the “Shaders Panel” to fit your needs!
About the Block look…I don’t know…depending much on your type of game?!

thanks for sharing. I’ll tool around with the materials settings and see what i can turn up.

I’m using unity 3d enngine for the terrain. I’m pretty much focusing on the terrain atm. Do you know of any sites that have free lego/mega bloks-like textures? i want to use a generic lego block texture for the terrain ground. I’m having some trouble locating a good texture.

Do a search in the forum…I remember some posts Lego related!
