How to get the skinning weights and indices of a vertex?

So how do I get the skinning weights and indices of a vertex? I’ve looked though the reference but I don’t see anything and I tried to figure out how other exporters do it but that’s kinda confusing can someone point me in the right direction?

I believe you can just use the Mesh.getVertsFromGroup() function:

It requires you to have a vertex group, though. So if you don’t have any, you can just create a temporary dummy one with addVertGroup and assignVertsToGroup(). You can then delete it later if you don’t want it.

I don’t believe weights are stored on a per-vertex basis (or apparently can’t be accessed in that way).
