I am new but have been watching the Blender tuts on Lynda.com. I see that meshes cannot be imported into After Effects, but I need a 3d backdrop with a wall that curves up from the floor smoothly.
I have created the wall in Blender but I don’t know where to go from there. Nothing I have found in my searches has been very promising.
If this is not possible, does anyone have any solutions or ideas?
Thanks in advance - and I am very excited to be delving into this wonderful world with Blender!!
I know what is background but i don’t know how we import background into effect, but i have sis-pence to know about it if anyone knows about it so please tell me about it. i am very thankful in advance.
Hey guys, sorry to take so long to answer - Im just getting time to revisit this issue myself. Go to the link that Richard Marklew provided: http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Ex…_After_Effects. Read the basics over but make sure that you watch the tutorial video at the bottom of the page. That is where you will find great information…
What I am understanding is that you have to create the objects, and then animate a scene that is the length in time that you need those objects in your After Effects project. Then those objects appear in 3d within After Effects where textures and colors can be applied. In our case, it would amount to however long the video that the background is needed, with nothing going on - just a background being looked at over time. But I am about to go back and watch it again myself to try to understand it better. Good luck and check back in and share.
