Is it possible to import a jpeg into blender to work the image with mesh??? Please let me now if it is possible.
Yes it is possible. You can use most image formats.
Also, this belongs in Basics & Interface.
Although there has been a recent drag and drop bug that stops jpegs from being read correctly. Certainly the import function works ok.
