How to import MHX file into blender

Hello,

I am trying to import a make human mesh into blender as makehuman format so that you can use the armature and stuff. but it does not seem to work, blender says i have an to old version of make human, even with the latest nightly build it is not working.

can anybody help me?

misunderstood your post.

Blender have yet reached a completely stable state, and it may happen that the MHX importer that comes with Blender is broken, most likely due to a change in the Python API. If this happens, you need to copy the MHX importer that comes with MakeHuman to the Blender addons directory, as described in https://sites.google.com/site/makehumandocs/blender-export-and-mhx/copy-addon-to-blender . The version of the MHX importer that comes with MakeHuman is always the most up-to-date one.

the importer that comes with the nightly build I have is for Blender 2.5x and does not work with the Blender 2.61 I have.

not only that it doesn’t work with 2.59 that I have…

I got it to work with a blender 2.57a and Makehuman (1.6 alpha 6) not the nightly build.
and 2.57a I didn’t have to use the included with Makehuman script.

Man, so many not working issues,
Perhaps they should give it some attention after so many version it not working.

Try MakeHuman 1.0 Alpha 6. I managed to get it to import properly in Blender 2.61. Other versions were importing with everything out of place and screwed up.

doubt I did anything special other than exported from MH as an MHX then imported it into Blender and it worked. Seems to be Blender versions only work with certain versions of MH because of something in the MH export scripts
