I made a render of my animation with images. I inserted the images into the blender video editor and made a video. The video quality is not very good (with a low bitrate), despite the fact that the quality of the pictures is excellent. Does anyone know how to increase the bitrate and get video quality no worse than the quality of the images?

You need to explain what you have tried!
For instance, keyframe every frame?
Have you tried the manual?

Just increasing the bitrate is not the only thing that improves the quality…
You need to understand how different codecs perform the compression, their perks and strengths, what all ‘nobs’ do, how one some settings are better for one video but not for another…
And even understanding most of the insides from video compression, there’s a lot that still requires to loop multiple times between changing some setting, and test the result.
