How to insert background

Hi, I got blender four days ago. I’ve made an animation but i don’t know how to insert back ground picture eg:a forest or a desert.:o

Any help would be great:yes:

You can do it a couple of ways.

1.) Just put your background image on a plane and place it in your scene.

2.) Assign and image texture to the World background.

If you are still using 2.49, there is also a path area where you can specify a “BackBuffer” which is a background image.
