How to light a layer separately so that the layer becomes brighter that other layers ?

Hey!

So if i understand you… You want to light two layers with different lights?! If you are rendering with cycles…

  1. put object that you want to light separately on a separate layer
  2. make new lighting on a new layer
  3. under render layers tab make a new Render layer…select the layer with object and new lighting layer and exclude the layer with old lighting!
