How can I take a specific frame out of a simulation and turn it to a permanent mesh that I can edit? for example, if I take a frame out of a splashing water, how can I export it as an object by itself?
Does alt + C work? (same hotkey combination to turn a curve into a mesh). I honestly don’t know, I’m just suggesting it.
EDIT: AHA! It does work! Do Alt + C -> Mesh from Curve/Meta/Surf/Text
Thanks!
Actually in blender 2.5 you can just click on the Apply button in the modifiers section, but it’s good to know other ways to do it easily
I didn’t even realize that was a modifier!
I remember back in the day before blender even HAD modifiers! Those were dark times…
