Like how would I animate it in a way where I could have a heavy object drag on I and split the ground underneath it?
Get the rigid body constraints add-on, cell fracture part of the ground, add strong constraints to the broken pieces using the add-on, create the object to be dragged, make it an animated, passive rigid body, and then animate it through the area of the ground plane that you want to be broken.
Is that the “Bullet Constraints Tools” by bashi?
