how to make a loading screen?

how do you make a loading screen? like with logic bricks or via python?

  1. Make your loading screen in another scene.
  2. Make your starting scene open the loading scene as an Overlay Scene before it switches to the second scene
  3. Make your second scene remove the Overlay Scene after a certain amount of time.
