how to make a texture appear on both sides of the mesh? (pic included)

I’ve searched on on google and found a way… it says to go to the texture face panel and press two sided I already did that but… just look at the picture below:

the texture only appeared on the other side on only one square face why is that???

I want for the texture to appear on both sides fully. oh and I’m not trying to make a sky sphere mind you…this is just an example…

another example:
a game character I’ve been working on…http://i924.photobucket.com/albums/ad87/nationundivided/texturedilema.jpg

I want to be able to see the inside of the clothes and yes I pressed the two sided button but nothing happens…

P.S excuse my english…:frowning:

blenderstudent,

Does it appear on one side after you hit F12 (render) ?

I make a quick sphere with a cloud texture and got it on both sides. I don’t think that Blender will show you the texture in the 3D window; you must render it.

By default it’s set to 1 side. By flipping the normal (select face(s) and press W -> ‘Flip normals’) you can change the visible side of the face.

it says to go to the texture face panel and press two sided I already did
That would only make the active face two-sided (as seen in your example).

So when you select everything with A, and press ‘two-side’ (which only makes the active face two-sided), press Ctrl+C and choose ‘Copy Mode’ (‘Active Mode’ in 2.49). All faces will become two-sided.

For Ctrl+C to work on 2.5 you need to enable the Add-On ‘Copy Attributes Menu’ first.

but this will simply make the same UV facea appear on either sides
it won’t allow to hae 2 different image on each sude !

happy 2.5

thanks for explaining.
