How to make an object stationary when touched by a specific material?

Hello,

I’m having a lot of trouble. Please help me.

How can I make an object stationay but only when touched by a specific material?

The object should be allow to move freely when touched by characters created with different material, but when touched by a specific one, the object should remain in his actual position.

Please give me ideas!

Thanks.

this depends on your setup.

From your description, I suggest to use

  • the collision or touch sensor
  • the edit object / dynamics actuator.

Monster, thank you very much.

In that way, I’ll can make the object to get Ghost when touched by the specific character, and that’s great, But Is there a way to mantain the object as solid (when touched by) while it’s actual location keeps entirely constrain?

Thanks a lot!

As monster has written use the “Edit Object” actuator choice “Dynamics” and under dynamics “Suspend Synamics” to swich off the game object’s physics.
