I recently found out that 3DS Max’s scanline renderer (the 2019 version), surprisingly looks exactly the same as 3DS Max 1.0’s which came out in 1996. So I’ve decided to make a series of short scenes that are make to look like the pre-rendered “cutscenes” from a Playstation 1 games. How would I go about doing this and do you have any tips going forward? Also, what were the specific technical limitations that made the cutscenes look the way that they did (resolution, framerate, color bit depth, etc.)??
