How to make circular hole array like this?


How to make that hole? something like that? with boolean?

I would go with boolean.
add cube and cylinder. scale cube and add res accordingly.
use array, bend, mirror on cube and boolean on cylinder should do it.

bend modifier? Never heard it…gonna check it. or physically bend it with proportional editing?

take a look at sample scene. it is simple deform modifier with bend.

Here is one method i use based on curves. but there is also polygonal modeling.
