How to make mesh child of bone?

I want my firearm to be the child of the hand of my rig, but Blender doesn’t let me do it.

Does anyone know how to do this?

I don’t want to keep repositioning the gun for each frame…

you can give your gun a Child Of constraint with the hand bone as Target (or you can do the other way around, give your hand a Child Of constraint with the gun as Target, in that case it’s the gun that will make the hand move the way you want)
