How to make rigied bodies rope to uncurl (ships anchor falling with it for example)?

I found a few tutorials where by using rigied bodies few cubes (type - points) and hooking them to the curve by using hook modifiers people are making the rope to shake to and fro. But in all of the tuts they make the rope straight from the beginning - but i need it to be curled at start frame and then uncurl - nobody explains how to do that.

I need to make something like a ships anchor animation so the anchor falls down and the rope uncurling. So how i do that?

I was trying to use same method and to setup from start so the rope is curled but it twist and behaves weirdly
