How to manage a lot of characters in rigging?

I recently learned the character modeling-rigging-animation procedure.
It took a long time to complete one character and work on the second and third characters.
But I felt that things like Driven Shape Keys and Weight Painting were repetitive and boring.
If there are dozens of characters with similar skeletal structure, I think I sigh before starting work.

So I want to hear how the skilled character TD uses it in production.
Automatic rigging tools like Rigify or Blend Rig? Or their own automated rigging system?
Please introduce a rigging technique that manages multiple characters at once.
