How to manipulate Bezier Curve?

I’m trying to model a dolphin fin, as described in this tutorial: http://www.blendernation.com/tutorials/blender-3d-beginner-tutorial-dolphin/, but I can’t figure out how to get it to the shape I want it. It just ends up as a straight line, and I can’t see to manipulate it the way I want. (to curve the two end points round to meet each other at the top).

Any ideas?
