How to merge closed faces into single

I need to merge two closed faces into single one whose size would coincide with those faces are taken together:

Before the supposed merging:

After the supposed merging:

If you consider using standard ‘F’ operation hotkey, it wont work correctly as it will create a new face overlapping those two ones and quite wont delete them.

It sounds like you want to use dissolve: https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/modeling/meshes/editing/basics/deleting.html

That works not as I expected. The Dissolve Vertices/Edges unites also other closed faces. The Dissolve Faces doesn`t do any visual changes at all.

So, imagine you have a shape that is made of two quad faces. To dissolve the edge between, you should only select the two vertices that create the edge between the two faces. Take a look at the images below:

Shape made of two quads:

Select the vertices that create the edge you want to get rid of:

Press “X” and select Dissolve Edges:

The edge and vertices are removed leaving a single face:

If that doesn’t work, maybe you can share your .blend file and we can try something else.

Thanks, it has got worked! The faces appeared not to be closed and that`s why it worked wrong.

Good to hear! Best of luck and happy Blendering!
