Just for fun, I am trying to fit a model of a skull inside a square shape. I was hoping to deform the skull model I have to mold itself to be a square shape. I was also thinking of experimenting this with other models of various things to try and force them to become a different shape. Any ideas on how I might achieve this?
Use the Cast modifier
That works, but one other question I have with Cast, I see you can cast to the shape of a sphere, cuboid, or cylinder, is there a way to cast to a “custom shape” at all?
Any ideas on how I might be able to “cast” to a custom, maybe more complicated shape than a cube, cylinder, or sphere? Is there a way I can cast to a custom model or shape?
Sorry, I didn’t see your reply. You’ll need geonodes to do this but I’m not entirely sure how. @zeroskilz or @SterlingRoth might know
Oh cool thanks! I will try it out, I was trying to make a shape “squish” to the shape of an icosahedron, does this work for that do you think?
Try it and see ! I think it should
For some reason, I cant find the “mix” node in the geometry node editor, where might I find it or how might I be able to access it?
Add Node > Utilities
…
There’re different Mix nodes in Color
, Math
, Vector
…
The only one I can find is the Mix RGB and I’m not sure if that will work or not, I was trying to find just the normal mix but I cant seem to find it.
Any ideas as to why my geometry node arrangement may not be working?
Do you know by chance why this isn’t working?
hmm, it’s unclear to me why that isn’t working.
Is the pivot point in the center of the geometry?
Is scale applied?
I got scale and transform applied and ended up getting it working, thanks!
