Blender 2.64a + Yafaray 0.1.2 on Debian/GNU Linux 6
I am a noob and here I have a basic composition of euclidean geometries placed on a considerably ‘very large’ plane. The lighting is using 1 sun, and Sunsky2 for Background.
Sunsky2 Settings are :
Turbidity:2.00 | HorizonBrightness:1.15 | HorizonLuminance:1.20 | SunIntensity:1.00 | SunDiameter:5.00 | BackScattering:1.00
Yafaray Parameters are :
AA : (mitchell) 2-3-2 | Lighting : DirectLight [ShadowDepth:2 + RayDepth:2 + Caustics:500000photons + AO]
I have attached relevant files for consideration.
My problem is the render time - 46 minutes! for a clay render of 960x540px image. And I use 3-core i7 processor with 3GB RAM.

Does it really take so long for the composition as shown in the image with the settings, to take so long?

How to optimize the render time?
