How to preview an animation

Everyone knows that you should render to individual frames, png or whatever. If you want to preview your animation on Windows without having to make a video, one way is to do it is to go to the folder where the individual frames are in the Windows Explorer, change the View to Extra large Icons, scroll up and down in the window to make it generate the icons, then resize the window to be big enough to display one icon, then scroll up or down in it.

Sort of like a flip card animation.

lol, solid workflow !

If you’re on linux and don’t have preview icons, you can still hit ctrl-F11 on blender, or using this : http://djv.sourceforge.net/
