How to remove overlapping faces

Hey guys, I’m new to blender.
I have a square the has four cylinders on each corner. My problem is that the top of the cylinders are intersecting with the top of the square and it’s creating artifacts when rendering.

How would you remove this?

You can try to join them with bool modifier or make bridge edge loops the wall out of the cylinders:
