Hello,
I hope you can help me with my problem. I’ve been searching the internet for a while and couldn’t find a solution.
I have a scene for a product render. What I need to do, is render the product in different positions AND colors.
I couldn’t find any efficient way to do it other then having a scene for every position + color variation. But that creates way to many scenes and if I have to move the product for one render, I would have to setup the color variations for that setup again.
I tried rendering the object and scene separately and make the color variations in photoshop. But I couldn’t get accurate enough colors with that method.
I hope you can help me, thank you.
For positions, I’d parent the object to an empty, and then just use frame keys to set the location and rotation of the empty, giving you the different locations you need. That way you can just scrub between the different frames to change the angle or position.
For materials, if it’s a simple color change, I’m pretty sure you can keyframe a color change to. Hover over the ‘color’ and press I and it should keyframe it.
If it’s a texture, then a simple method would be to just make a material for each variation, and set them to fake user so that Blender saves them. Then you can just quickly swap between each variant prior to rendering. Again, you might be able to keyframe that, I don’t know.
Thank you very much! I think this solves my problems.
