When I load my start-up file then enter Ctrl-O to open an existing file, I see the following:
System (expanded)
System Bookmarks (expanded)
Bookmarks (expanded)
Recent (expanded)
Open Blender File (expanded)
I then rearranged the order, unexpanded 3 of the items and selected Cancel to close the File Browser.
After saving the start-up file (Ctrl-U) then closing and reloading it, the 5 above items show up in the original order and all of them are expanded.
Since it is possible to rearrange the order and expand/unexpand them, it seems there must be a way to save the changes. How?
