How to scale a edge and have it keep the same width as another

Sorry for that shocking explanation in the title,

When I scale this edge i want them to have the same length apart away from the core block

Thanks in advance

Welcome :tada:…

…so you mean move every edge vertex expect the left ones to the right ???

I may have not understood you goal here?

Sorry I know I could have explained better. I mean like in here you can see that the distance for all but the one on the right are the same, but i want them all to have x distance apart

I understand I could just move the 3x edge to a similiar width but idk how to get it exact

Well… it’s scaling and since you model differ in x and y direction scaling does this…

So i guess you marked the outer edges of you inner object like in the above example:

…then extruded in place and scales because of the different aspect ration of your object you got the result like in the middle

So you have to scale it separatly in X and Y like in the last one… or…

sacle the whole thing to and use inset… (maybe addign some dummy topology to the left side to delete after the inset…)… and moving the outer vertices to the right ??

try this method:

Thanks for this!

Sorry for extra questions but how did you get it so that

this side doesnt scale outwards, its not necessary but I would just like to know
