How to sculpt vertices and edges?

We can sculpt faces as of right now by default, but what about sculpting edges and lines? If for example you have a line that is made of vertices and edges, instead of doing transformations with Falloff radius enabled, how about sculpting it instead?

Since sculpting is very handy and fast to use, is by far the best choice for moving vertices around. Too bad though that is not available in Mesh Edit mode…

Is there something like a workaround to do this?

another way would be to use dynatopo
then have to retopo to get nice topo !

There were some suggestions in this thread IIRC:

And is it at all possible in real life sculpting? Faces are always affected as edges are bound to them so every time you do anything with edges, faces go with them.

I like the “wire sculpting” technique very much. As I have practiced drawing a I find it much easier to think in terms of lines.

For polygon modeling things are bit harder… Perhaps you might say to hide other vertices and leave only lines as such.
