How to see texture in solid mode in Blender 2.8

Hi! is there the way to see textures in OBJECT MODE with viewport shading: SOLID in Blender 2.8?

Hey, if you tick the box shown, you can use the scenes lights instead of lookdev/eevee hdri whilst in lookdev mode, which is what has replaced the traditional texture/material view.

There is an option for texture in the shading popover. Should work even with Matcaps or Flat.

Thanx a lot! that’s what I need. One more question, tell me please how to use OPACITY (in the bottom of menu) in VIEW PORT OVERLAY? As I understand it should highlight the object I texturing in TEXTURE PAINT mode, but it looks the same color as another objects

but it not working in my case (screenshot attached)

Where are this textures defined?
What I mean: Where is the location to define which texture have to be shown in Solid mode>Color>Texture?

I haven’t found it. I would like to use the flat lighting and see a particular texture.

It shows whichever you select in the node-editor. In Texture Paint you can use the Texture Slots panel to swap them.

Flat shading is in the Shading Popover:

Thank you… I can’t believe, I haven’t realised this before… Sometimes complex tools leads to too complex thinking.

EDIT: Unfortunately the UV mapping node like the scale factor will not be taken into account in the flat mode.
