See picture enclosed, how would I snap these vertices to match the height of the taller one? I’ve always wanted to do this for different models.
Few ways you can do this.
-
Select all the 4 vertices and press S > Z > 0 (zero). This will scale all the 4 vertices to the same height with respect to the center of all four vertices. So if you had like 2 vertices above a horizontal line and 2 vertices below it, this will scale all the 4 vertices to meet on the horizontal line (just an example).
-
The other way is to press the “N” key and then read the Z location of the vertex you want to snap to. Once you know the Z value, you can assign that value individually to the three separate vertext. You need to be in edit mode to read the X, Y or Z values of vertices and the vertices needs to be selected.
This is a slower but more accurate process.
- Sometimes, holding Ctrl and moving your vertices around will constrain them to the grid units and might help with aligning.

this is awesome thanks!!!
- snap the 3d Cursor to to the top vertex. (shift-s -> cursor to selection)
- set pivot point to cursor (period key)
- s -> z -> 0 -> enter
