Hello Blender Community,
I’m having trouble keeping the original bone order of FBX models in Blender. I need to keep the exact bone order from the model as it was when exported from another program for use in a game. However, Blender changes the bone order automatically when I import and export FBX files, which messes up the original setup that the game needs.
Here’s the specific problem:
- Original Bone Order (from game): knee > leg > toes > foot
- Bone Order after Importing into Blender: leg > knee > foot > toes
- Bone Order after Exporting from Blender: leg > knee > foot > toes (which is incorrect for the game)
When I export the model from Blender, the bone order is not preserved as it was in the original FBX file. The game requires the bones to be in the exact order they were initially, otherwise, the model behaves incorrectly.
So In this situation what can I do?
Check the below pictures of original bone order and mine model order. Even though hierarchy is same for both model but the naming order isn’t same.
As I am new user so I’m not allowed to post more than one media but the naming order of my model matches with hierarchy (Root, Leg, Knee, Foot etc.) where game model doesn’t match.
