Hey guys,
I was wondering how unwrap a radial surface (doesn’t have to have a centerpoint). The ideal unwrap would be a rectangular shape with the inner edge beingthe bottom of the rectangle and the outer edge being the top. Just straightening every edge out manually would be no fun at all since there are over 100 radial edges and 64 ray edges (scary). Here’s a picture…
As you can see, it unwraps with one seam in a ray edge, but it’s definitely not a nice manageable rectangle for texturing. Input would be appreciated! Thanks!
