I’m modeling a 1970 own interpretation of a Dodge Challenger and have been wondering throughout
wether to make the weels separate objects, and/or to put them on another layer, same goes for the head and taillights
i now seem to have a merry mix of all, but still no idea what i should be doing concerning “scene management”
also, i curled a flat piece of tire around a circle to make the wheels. now i have heaps of stray bezier curves, circles and such in my files. Any tips on cleaning out a scene or building it so it needs no cleaning?
one suggestion, try assigning some of the objects to groups, then you can easily select the objects of the same group. it can be easier than mucking with layers. as for the stray objects, it’s best to delete them once you’re through with them, but if you have alot of them, one way to deal with it is to find all your car parts, assign them to a group, save that file, start a fresh file, and append the group you assigned all your car parts to. now you will have no extra objects or materials.
