How was Spring Open Movie rendered?

I can’t seem to find the info anywhere which render engine they used. That’s why I’m asking:

Was the Spring Open Movie rendered with Eevee or Cycles?

with cycles

would be nice to know how big the renderfarm was.

Hi,

You can find the information about our cluster here: https://docs.it4i.cz/salomon/hardware-overview

I used 25x or 50x Intel Xeon Phis (KNC) for the rendering of the one frame in the most cases (the rendering time took few minutes:-)).

very cool! and blender is able to make good use of the xeon phis without modification?

KNL does not need a modification, but KNC supports only IMCI instructions (something like AVX512) and it requires some modification of Blender.

More informations you can find on my web: http://blender.it4i.cz/research/
