Can anyone help?

Concept 3D,

If you are in a hurry, you can just use Arbaro instead of Gen3. Arbaro installs with a Lombardy Poplar sample.

It looks like the pic when imported into Blender and rendered.

Thanks but I want to use Gen 3…

Hi!

Gen3 can import tree settings from arbaro files ( arbaro-specific features are not supported, but in general it should be a good starting point). So you can download arbaro and use one of presets with Gen3. Do not forget to say “Thanks” to arbaro authors and modelers…

Another way - just use Gen3 to create tree from start  Kernon Dillon created excellent video tutorial. You can find it here: http://blendernewbies.blogspot.com/2007/08/tree-making-tool-gen3.html

Bye!

You have gen3 installed? then play about with it and learn what each button does. For a Poplar the branches grow upwards, so find the button that controls the branch angle and change it. The best way to learn a tool is to play with it rather than waiting for someone to show you how to do it. You’ll learn a 100 more things on your own than anyone could ever do for you.
