I need to use a projected image over a rigged character (I can’t post anything due to NDA).
The image is an illustration with a different character, which I loosely matched with Daz 3D. The charcter in the illustration has a specific pose, which I also kinda matched (for now, the approximation is enough).
Now, I can easily project the illustration onto the rigged character with an UVProject modifier, and it works quite well.
There’s one problem, though: if I animate the rig, the projected texture doesn’t stick to the model.
Is there a way to work around this issue?
In Cinema 4d, there’s a stick texture function which, if I remember correctly, should do exactly that. Maybe there’s something similar in Blender?
Edit: I think I figured a solution: I transferred the UV map of a duplicated character, with the armature applied.
