Humana Model Generation

Once I have found one Human Model Generator. It was Open Source.

Now i need it again, I have forgot the name. Can anyone remember the name of the software?

thanks. )

Found it.

Its called MakeHuman.

cheers.

lol alpha zero is good but i like the older version there’s more detail in there options.

But I must say there’s limitations if you use there models.

Limitations?
There are no limitations, except the case of trying to code a makehuman closed source clone (or trying to integrate a makehuman clone in a closed source game). In these cases only, we will use our rights. Take a look:

Best,

Manuel

Was the license of the ‘classic’ MH model updated to match the current license?

Really looking forward to Alpha6 and the pose engine  Keep up the great work Manuel!

That means, we can use MH produced meshes as we like.

yeepi

Yeah, I recall there being a version with a lot of morph options. Too bad they were removed.

DAZ 3D Studio might be an alternative as well.

I spend various days on trying to import meshes from MH, Poser or DAZ into Blender
only to learn that the internal system each one uses are not supported by Blender.

Long story short result you will not be able to get in-Blender posable meshes deforming
as smoothly as in the Host app.

Under that light I must say that the posing options and ease in DAZ are very good.
MakeHuman currently only allows to export a neutral pose mesh.

If that is what you need and you want to do some weight painting MakeHuman is the way.

If you want to pose and export high res OBJ files with perfect mesh deformation baked
then DAZ 3D is your way.

The software is easy to learn and it is interesting. Thanks you all for the info.

I have hard to understand the MakeHuman lisense politics:

Q6: Why does the MakeHuman team retain a partial Copyright on the output models?

A6: We need to protect the hard work done to model the base mesh and all morphs. The Copyright will be used in case someone tries to use our efforts in a closed source clone or differently licensed clone.
How does the copyright “protect the hard work done”? If someone happens to make a functional program based on MakeHuman and successes to sell it, what is it away from the original authors? I feel the opposite: The difficult to understand legal matters keep people away from using MakeHuman. It is all away from the development of MakeHuman.
