So it’s a well know fact that the world didn’t ended in 2012… ( but some people still predict everything ending into chaos everywhere even nowadays )… so maybe we (as humankind) should think more about: we don’t know everything… especially not everything what some people knew in the past… ( but on the other hand it’s easier to say they came from outer space than to admit that we just don’t know or can not imagine how anymore… )

Are we to proud to acknowledge the knowledge of the past ? Is this insufficiency preventing us also to solve some problems in this world…
Ancient civilizations have developed a reputation for being far more knowledgeable and sophisticated than we give them credit for. That this is the case is why it is so destructive to just casually throw out everything long established and understood simply because it is old (because the old theories of ancient times being primitive and brutal was simply not the case, even though they did not have any technology involving electricity and oil).
Even Stonehenge has turned out to be far more complex in its engineering than what was believed a century ago, to cite just one example.
This is an interesting subject, most of our knowledge is “acquired”, we have not actually worked it out ourselves, we take “science”, what we are taught and what we read as fact.
Unfortunately throughout history this has proved to be deceiving. An example would be that the ancient Greeks calculated the circumference of the earth, but for hundreds of years that was dismissed and Europeans were taught that the earth was flat.
The problem is that a lot of the information we take as fact has often been fed through a filter of some sort.
It’s even not every time for something ancient… back when i was starting training for electronics after school… there where the digital mesasureing devices already on the rise and my teacher told me that with analog devices we where able to measure more accuratley…
…this flaw was overcome meanwhile… but think of it… there was some gap before we were as good as before… and this didn’t happen like back in the dark ages where pest and cholera was decimating humans in a very large scale… (more than in the last view years…)

Even the new artificial I… … was totally in once. Before it was renamed to expert system… and now we are learning/discovering that for example:
What a surprise !! It was learning from all the examples given in any tutorials in the net with the explicite mention: don’t use in a production environment, this is for educational purposes only…
Also primitiv means simple… and simpe solutions are often just brilliant and the best one… On the other hand if someone is simple minded and want to solve a complex topic with primitive solution… ( something like: i could do that better… …than hundred of people who already did thought about that over the last xx years)* for example in computer science… or the us of the word dinosaur for something old and not very effective… ← well this did already changed… nobody wants to be hunted by an agile endothermic strategic using pack of feathered velociraptors…
It seems like the AI companies have not yet figured out how to create a counter for the age-old “Garbage in Garbage out” problem, which compounds the other issues such as figuring out the creation of a memory cache for future input (in which the lack of has been demonstrated on Youtube). The current state seen now is a great example of how you can get 90 percent of the way there, yet it will be the last 10 percent that is far and away the hardest.
That fact is also the reason why something called ‘data poisoning’ can be seen as a useful weapon for the anti-AI crowd to use. All you have to do is feed the algorithms terabytes of garbage and millions of jobs will be removed from the chopping block (not only that, but we can safely close the AI vs. Artists thread with a statement saying artists are safe for another generation).
Outside of runaway AI development that we can no longer control, there are other potential events (like a Carrington class CME combined with our planet’s weakening magnetic field) that could send the world into chaos and create a major technological reset (which means it is good we are figuring out the secrets to ancient life because that could actually be our future).
Too be fair though, over the past 1800yrs free thinking especially STEM aligned was brutally exorcised from history throughout old world western civilization.
If one indeed stepped out of line, being sent to the stake was invariably a likely outcome so little more than 200 years of industrial modernity, is hardly enough time for that enforced horrific dogma too be finally erased from the social conscious.
On the other hand that said, personally would still really like to know how the Great Pyramid of Khufu was built?!
What always made me wonder when something is called a scientific mystery… that’s nonsense… it applies the same physics as we know them now… and we may know it better now… ( for example the egyptions had a pretty good approximaion of pi … and we now know that it is and an irrational number )… but we just forgot how to do something doesn’t mean it was impossible without help from some “other entity”…
The question is for example why should we move stones weighting dozen of tone by hand if we have machines for this or could build super heavy bridges by casting them with concrete… and that’s also why non-scientist engage themself with those questions in their spare time…
But also this report didn’t said anything about if he researched any actual research about this or if scientiest also have assumed this already…
And also since we now know that no slaves build the pyramids but there was a whole city build for the skilled workers… it’s like nowadays: cities mean work meaning money meaning little wealthiness, bigger cities mean bigger work meaning more money meaning more wealthiness… that’s also true for the “acient” times… And if you have a lot of workers you can make more work… and if you have more of skilled workers you can make more advanced work…
For the egyptions… (not so) lately they dicovered (via satellite images) also that some river had another riverbed in this time… it seems to be that we always assume that the area looked like now back then and then we wonder how…
So maybe the we in this are not exactly the scientists who may already imagined how this was done… but they also need money to “prove” some theories… but nobody wants to build a six million tonnes weigthing monument to bury a god anymore… but the we are maybe more the ones who are “unused” to think for themself and are amazed of watching any scientific mystery revealing news flash ???
Ohh… and while i re-researching some of the things i wanted to say here i also found (besides lots of blogs ,vlogs, channel, sites who claim to know how the pyramids were really built… ):
It was previously believed to be impossible for Egyptians to have pulled heavy blocks up ramps at more than a 10% incline – but this ramp was double the steepness.

But again… why do “we” think ancient humans were ignorant ?? ( Actually this is ignorant. )
( Going back to pi: some people nowadays don’t even understand that it is the ratio of the circumference to the diameter but just any number and don’t forget the Indiana Pi Bill… but we are sooo inferior… )
The human way of trying to make sense of the issues of our world is that if we can just completely eliminate A or B, then we will have paradise on Earth, except it is not going to turn out that way.
What will happen instead is that the human race will move the goalposts and identify the next thing to eliminate (in an endless cycle of casting scapegoats, causing a lot of chaos and strife while not being any closer to the goal). Star Trek will remain fiction simply because of innate human nature.
